Atlanta HIstory Center Swan House - Atlanta GA

On the evenings of Friday, December 11th and Friday, December 18th The Atlanta History Center will be hosting a Christmas program called Candlelight Nights. Our first set begins at 6:30pm but the exhibit opens at 5:30pm and there will be much more than us to see, so do come early and enjoy the whole thing! A brief description follows below:

"Step back in time and experience Christmas past with a candle-lit stroll through a crisp wooded trail that transports you to the warm glow of the holidays. Guests entering the Atlanta History Center’s new atrium will first be welcomed by a robust and lively Christmas Market filled with local crafts and artisanal creations. Visit each of the three historic houses to experience how Southerners celebrated Christmas during the pioneer days, the Civil War era, and the 1930s. Guests experience holiday traditions of years past with interpreters and special activities. Enjoy food for purchase and visit one of several cash bars for your favorite libation."

Tray Dahl & The Jugtime Ragband will perform three 45 minute sets in the 1930's built Swan House to simulate an authentic 1930's Christmas party. Set times are 6:30, 7:30 & 8:30. There will be a cash bar at the house. Due to the nature of different groups of people cycling through the exhibit we will likely play a few of the same songs in each set so the next crowd won't miss out on some of the most popular songs of the the 1930's.

For this show we will be accompanied by Chris Malloy on Clarinet/Sax and Loren Haefer on Trombone.
